I have always found the concepts of order and disorder fascinating. I loved your article on this. I always try to explain to my students why LIFE or DNA do not disobey the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Although two strands of DNA come together is very ordered, there is heat released to the universe, making the total more disordered. I think that synthetic biologists are now working on various bacteria that do these bifurcated decisions... very interesting.
